The Caring Cupboard

Did You Know the Knox Caring Cupboard is housed in the basement of the Edenburg Presbyterian Church? The Very active foodbank serves individuals living in the Keystone School District. It is managed by the Knox Ministerial Alliance and coordinated by Esther Pries.

This is the August progress report:

On August 21st, the Knox Caring Cupboard served 47 families including 48 adults, 15 children, and 27 seniors. We sincerely THANK the many who attended the Knox Community Worship Service which was held on Main Street during the Horsethief Days. The offerings collected at the service were donated to the Caring Cupboard to help serve those in the community in need.

Many THANKS to the Jeep Invasion organizers who held a "Fill the Jeep" drive and collected nonperishable food donations for the Caring Cupboard. We were blessed to say the least.

Restocking the shelves

The next day of stocking the shelves is September 11 from 8:00 until 10:00 AM. Distribution will be on September 18 from 9:00 until 11:00 AM. If you are, or know of someone living in the Keystone School District who could benefit from this program, if you are interested in making a donation, or if you would like to volunteer to help this worthwhile mission, please contact Esther E. Pries, coordinator 814-797-5390.
